David McAtee s brother among people arrested during Louisville march over his death Emma Austin, Louisville Courier Journal
The brother of David McAtee and four other protesters were arrested during a march on Wednesday, a day after prosecutors announced law enforcement officers would not be charged in his fatal shooting.
Jamie McAtee, 35, was arrested and charged with unlawful assembly and walking in a roadway, according to Louisville Metro Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell.
David YaYa McAtee, a barbecue owner, died at age 53 on June 1 from a single bullet wound to the chest. The bullet was fired just after midnight by a National Guard member as the troops and LMPD officers converged on 26th and Broadway to break up a crowd they said was there in violation of a curfew enacted in response to protests over the police killing of Breonna Taylor.
