In a Statement Released yesterday afternoon, the Harrison Campaign wrote, i cannot responsibly debate in person tomorrow night and allow politics to put my family, my campaign staff, and members of the media at unnecessary risk. The human rights atrocities, the Chinese Government is perpetuating are now wellknown. More than a million uighurs and muslims, ethnic north have been thrown into detention camps where they face torture, brainwashing, sexual abuse, and even forced sterilization. These atrocities are horrific, and the congress has acted to hold perpetrators of these crimes accountable by passing the uighur human rights policy act. We must not stop there. The legislation we are considering today focuses on a specific form of abuse. Forced labor, an abuse of human rights, which also has grave implications for supply chains and consumers worldwide
Enough is enough is enough is enough. So i want to be really clear that what happened to Breonna Taylor was part and parcel and pattern of the war that is waging in our lives and weve got to Start Talking about it. Reporter for these women, what happened to taylor is extremely personal and staying silent is not an option. I wont tell you our lives matter. You know our lives matter. So what we need to garner is the power to demonstrate that our lives matter. This gathering came after hundreds of people marched through down oakland hours after the grand Jury Announcement in kentucky. So far in oakland, the protests around the Breonna Taylor decision have been entirely peaceful. Wednesday night, police say there were no arrests and no reports of damage. Some demonstrators did walk on to interstate 980 for a time. Protesters and car caravans vowed to take their message to bay area bridges and even airports. Its a time to provide safe places and safe spaces for the freedom of speech. For th
