North Perry, Ohio – A Michigan who drove to a nuclear power plant outside Cleveland and claimed he had a bomb has been arrested.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement released Thursday that a 33-year-old man from Adrian, Michigan, drove to the entrance of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant around 6 p.m. Wednesday and refused to leave.
He told plant security officers he had a bomb in the trailer attached to his pickup truck, officials said. No bomb was found.
The Sheriff’s Office said there was no ongoing or imminent threat to the plant in North Perry Village.

According to Cleveland.com, 33 year old Michael Fogelson, of Adrian, Michigan, towed a trailer to the entrance of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Ohio on Wednesday night. He claimed that inside the trailer was a bomb and then refused to leave.

The 33-year-old Michigan man police say breached the gate at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant appeared in court on Friday.
Michael D. Fogelsong was arraigned in Painesville Municipal Court on one charge of criminal trespassing. That charge is a 4th degree misdemeanor. He pleaded not guilty.
Retired Judge Michael Cicconetti, who was filling in in Painesville Municipal Court, questioned why the charge Fogelsong pleaded to was only one misdemeanor, considering Fogelsong s criminal history.
Judge Cicconetti said in court that Fogelsong had previously been charged with larceny of a firearm and larceny after breaking and entering, both felonies, in the state of South Carolina back in 2011.
