One Grand Junction woman is parting ways with her homemade quilt, made of many precious memories of her late son, to benefit the family of Ahmir Jolliff the sixth-grader who was killed in the Perry school shooting.
Students streamed into Perry Middle School this morning. They passed motivational and loving welcome signs and were greeted by teachers and administrators, who gave them hugs as they entered.
KCCI spoke with Dave Murillo, a retired Des Moines Public Schools public safety specialist, who said there's a balance school districts need to find, where students feel both comfortable and safe.
