STEELE, Mo. (KAIT) - A shooting at a local park sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries and another to jail.
Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield said the shooting happened sometime Tuesday, April 20, at or near Steele Park on Barnes Street.
The victim was taken to Great River Medical Center in Blytheville in serious but stable condition.
The suspect, a 22-year-old man from Steele, was later arrested in Dexter by police.

STEELE, Mo. (KFVS) - The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Steele, Mo.
The shooting happened on East Main Street on Thursday, March 11.
According to Steele Police Chief Billy Jo Stanfield, two Steele officers were involved in a shooting with a 41-year-old Kennett man.
The officers and the suspect were not injured.
The suspect was taken into custody and is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail on two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer, weapon(s) violation, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance.

CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. (KFVS) - Some barges hit the Mississippi River bridge at Caruthersville on Friday morning, February 26.
According to the Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office, it happened around 10 a.m.
Barge traffic was halted in the area and the Coast Guard was notified.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Interstate 155 reopened just after noon on Friday after the bridge was inspected.
