At least 20 books are being removed from libraries in a Florida school district as the result of parents reading out loud objectionable passages from the books they deemed sexually explicit and inappropriate for children at a school board meeting.
The Indian River County School Board was forced to remove several dozen books from school libraries after parents were stopped from reading explicit books.
NAACP leaders and community members attended the meeting, but their voices were muted by a large turnout from the group, protesting "inappropriate" books
