The song, which debuted in the top 20 in November and earned Aguilar her first entry, leads the list in its 10th frame. It’s Nodal’s fourth consecutive No. 1 and 10th overall.
“Chris and I had worked together on the
Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour, my father invited him to open the concert for us,” Aguilar remembers. “We have known each other for four or five years now so it was a genuine experience: a friend asking a friend to record a song. He sent my father a song telling him that something was missing from his album and that he believed that something was me. So, we got in touch, changed a few arrangements but always respecting his expectations. I think it changed how people of this generation see music.”
