Millbury town election had no losers

MILLBURY With no contested races. there were no losers in the 2021 town election, held April 27. But the surprise winners were three write-in candidates who secured seats that would otherwise have been vacant.
After narrowly missing the deadline to submit her nomination papers, incumbent Selectman Katherine M. McKenna ran a successful write-in campaign for her selectman’s seat, receiving 111 votes. And McKenna wasn’t the only write-in candidate to win a vacant seat.
The newest member of the Re-Development Authority is Harold F. Proodian, after he received 13 write-in votes. In addition, Keith St. Denis scored 12 write-in votes to secure a spot as a Library Trustee.
