Wareham Police Arrest Alleged Ax-Wielding Woman WAREHAM Wareham Police arrested a woman they say was wielding an ax and allegedly tried to attack a man with it. On Friday, February 5 at about 2:23 p.m., Wareham Police responded to an address on Cromesett Road for a report of a female brandishing an ax and attempting to hit a person with it. While responding, officers were updated that the female had left the scene in a vehicle, which was soon spotted by Officer Jennifer Braley in the area of Marion Road and Gibbs Avenue. She stopped the vehicle, assisted by Lt. Walter Correia and Officer Zina Kelsch.

Arrest made after vehicle was stolen from Swifts Beach driveway

Madison Czopek Dec 21, 2020 A New Bedford man was arrested in Wareham and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property in excess of $1,200 after Wareham Police recovered car that had been reported stolen from a person’s driveway in Swifts Beach on Friday, Dec. 18. On Friday morning at about 9:20 a.m., Wareham Police responded to a Swifts Beach address for a report of a vehicle that had been stolen from a person’s driveway, according to a police department press release. Officer Malik Wilkes spoke to the person who reported the car stolen. The person said that they had their car on while it was unlocked and running so it could warm up in the driveway. However, within a few minutes of the person going back inside the house, they noticed the car had been stolen. A report about the stolen vehicle was filed and all officers were advised to be on the lookout for the vehicle, according to the press release.

New Bedford man arrested for stealing a car warming up in a driveway

Wicked Local WAREHAM – Wareham Police arrested a New Bedford man Friday for stealing a car that was warming up in a resident’s driveway in Swift’s Beach. Wareham Police responded to an address in Swifts Beach for a report of a vehicle that had just been stolen from a person’s driveway Friday morning, Dec. 18, at about 9:20 a.m., police said. Officer Malik Wilkes spoke to the reporting party who said that they had their car on, unlocked and warming up in the driveway, police said. The person said that they went back into the house and within a few minutes noticed that it had been stolen. A report was filed, and all officers were advised to be on the lookout for the vehicle.

New Bedford Man Allegedly Stole Running Car in Wareham A New Bedford man was arrested after he allegedly stole a running car from a residential driveway in Wareham. Friday at about 9:20 a.m. a resident of the Swifts Beach neighborhood called Wareham Police to say that their car disappeared while it was unlocked and warming up in their driveway. The person told Officer Malik Wilkes that they started the car, went back into the house for a few minutes, and when they came back out, the car was gone. A report was filed, and all officers were advised to be on the lookout for the vehicle.
