Tonight, two of the richest member in the world, bill gates and mayor Michael Bloomberg talk about polio, Global Health issues and politics as wel the handson heartwrenching sight of the people youre not helping out yet. In the case of polio, i held a girl, three years old, who is one of the last children in india who get polio. Her legs are paralyzed. She doesnt realize what a huge burden thats going to be, particularly in that kind of society, to not be able to walk. And so it really reminds you that these statistics are a measurement of humans, just like ourselves. Congress shouldnt be writing specific laws. The president should send to congress a specific law that was created by people, experts in the field. And then sell it. They may have to tinker a little bit here and there to get some votes but fundamentally the leadership has to come from 1600 pennsylvania avenue and not the other way around.
