App State Trustees Raise Tuition For Non-Resident Students Published: 11 December 2020 Appalachian State s Board of Trustees has approved tuition increases and fee increases for health services and housing. The Watauga Democrat reports non-resident undergraduate students will see a 4.2 percent increase - roughly $800 over the current $19,049 dollar tuition, and graduate non-resident students will pay an 8.6 percent increase, about $1500 dollars over the $18,271 dollar tuition. Resident students will not see an increase. According to the report, Paul Forte, vice chancellor for business affairs, says the university will see about $1.2 million in revenue from the increases. The board also voted to approve a $10 increase for health services for a total of $325 projected to generate $175,000 a year.
