A Sudbury man faces human trafficking and assault charges as the result of a multi-week investigation.
In March of this year, major crime detectives with Greater Sudbury Police “initiated an investigation into allegations of historical and ongoing human trafficking incidents involving a man from Greater Sudbury,” a release states.

“Through the investigation, detectives established reasonable grounds to arrest and charge the man responsible.”
Just before 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, detectives located and arrested Paul Castonguay, 44, on Kathleen Street.
He has been charged with the following offences:
trafficking in persons under the age of 18;
