The U.S. Mint has released designs for 2024 quarters that will recognize the achievements of five women as part of the American Women Quarters Program.
The US Mint today announced that its 2024 American Women Quarters collection will include a quarter honoring Rep. Patsy T. Mink of Maui, the first woman to represent Hawaiʻi in the US Congress and the first woman of color to serve in Congress. A separate commemorative quarter honoring Edith Kanakaʻole, is scheduled to be put into circulation later this year.
