The storm hit hard along venice beach. 13 victims were injured there. Some were on the beach and on the boardwalk. The extort hit quickly with little warning. Reporter a deadly day at venice beach as lightning shocked beachgoers. Officials say theyre not exactly sure where the lightning hit but at around 2 20 in the afternoon people across the beach felt the jolt. It was terrifying. It was intense. We were in the water and it came out of nowhere. We saw lightning before but we didnt think it with us going to be that bad. It was really scary.
