Regional School Unit 73 directors voted to keep 'Gender Queer' and 'White Fragility' on the shelves after hearing many comments on both sides of the argument over whether the books' content was appropriate for a school library.
"No child of color or religious faith should be afraid to attend public school in this state or anywhere in the country," Timothy "Tim" Walton of Livermore said.
