A Sekondi High Court has set Friday, 5th March as judgment day in the murder trial of the two suspects in the killing of the four kidnapped Takoradi girls.
The two accused Nigerian nationals, Sam Udeotuk Wills and John Orji, were initially facing a charge of conspiracy to kidnap but the charge was later changed to conspiracy to murder in 2020.
This was after the police forensic test on discovered human remains confirmed that the girls were dead.
The presiding judge, Justice Richard Adjei-Frimpong, set the date today February 3, 2021, after the lawyers of Sam Udeotuk Wills and John Orji closed their defence and subsequent cross-examination.

Don’t Shout, I’ve Killed Someone ‘Kidnapper’ Tells ‘Kidnapper’ Daily Guide Network
The Chief State Attorney prosecuting the case involving the kidnapping and subsequent murder of the four Takoradi missing girls revealed at a Sekondi High Court yesterday that a quarrel once ensued between the two Nigerian suspects arrested in the case.
In the course of the quarrel, the second accused person, John Oji, was shouting on top of his voice and the first accused, Samuel Udoetuk Wills, told his compatriot to shut up because he (Mr. Wills) has killed someone in the room.
According to the Chief State Attorney, Patience Klinogo, this was contained in a statement that the second accused person, Mr. Oji, gave to the police as part of the investigations into the case.

Human skull, bones found on Takoradi girls ‘Kidnapper’s’ tablet

The Chief State Attorney prosecuting the case involving the kidnapping and subsequent killing of the four girls in Takoradi revealed yesterday that photographs of a human skull and some bones were found in the gallery of the tablet retrieved from Samuel Udoetuk Wills, the first accused person in the case.
Mr. Wills, who has been charged alongside John Oji, opened his defence at the Sekondi High Court on Monday, led in evidence by his counsel, George Essiful-Ansah.
Mr. Wills and Oji, both Nigerians, are being tried in connection with the disappearance of the four girls, who police later said had been killed.
