Portland-based
Constructing Hope and the
Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center at Rosemary Anderson High School will each receive $250,000. The grants are part of a four-year, $140 million commitment by Nike to racial justice.
Constructing Hope’s executive director, Pat Daniels, received a call from Jerome Brooks, Nike’s social & community impact manager, on Wednesday morning.
“I started crying when he told me on the phone,” Daniels said. “I couldn’t believe it.”
