Uniindia: Bhubaneswar, May 22 (UNI) Former Minister and ruling BJD MLA Simulia Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi resigned from the primary membership of the party on Wednesday.
In a sudden political manoeuvre, the BJP has made a last-minute candidate switch for the Soro assembly constituency, replacing Rajendra Kumar Das with Parshuram Dhada. Parshuram Dhada, a former BJD member, has been a two-time MLA representing Soro. His political journey saw him elected in 2014 and again in 2019 under the BJD banner. However, after being denied a ticket by the BJD for the current election, Dhada resigned from the party last month. BJD has chosen Madhab Dhada to represent the party instead, marking a new chapter for Soro assembly constituency.
