SINGAPORE: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has identified 11 COVID-19 cases from at least four different households living in Block 506 Hougang Avenue 8 - two of which were detected from a mandatory testing exercise for residents.

SingaporeâAt the Ministry of Defenceâs (MINDEF) Committee of Supply debate in Parliament on Monday (March 1), Workersâ Party Member of Parliament Gerald Giam (Aljunied GRC) called for fair compensation for soldiers injured during service.
âSingaporeâs defence strategy is dependent largely on the contributions of our National Servicemen. It is important that, should our soldiers suffer injuries in the course of their service to the nation, they will be fairly compensated. This will give them the assurance to give their best during training and operations,â Mr Giam said.
He then proceeded to ask whether the current $150,000 Group Term Life and Group Personal Accident insurance cover operationally-ready National Servicemen. Â

SINGAPORE: It will ultimately be up to the people of Singapore to decide whether the country is ready for a non-Chinese prime minister, said Senior Minister of State (SMS) Janil Puthucheary on Monday (Jan 25).
