Adams has been relaxing Covid-19 policies instituted by former Mayor Bill de Blasio since taking office Jan. 1, as he seeks to resume a sense of normalcy in the pandemic-ravaged city.
According to the background check form signed by Benjamin, the former state senator answered “no” to an inquiry about whether he’d ever been contacted by “a regulatory body concerning any possible legal, regulatory, ethical, or campaign finance, infraction or violation or investigation.”
Hochul, who appeared at a Thanksgiving food giveaway in Harlem on Tuesday, refused to respond when asked why she accepted Benjamin’s background check given that it contained easily demonstrable inaccuracies.
