Designer selected for Farmington Park improvements

A designer has been selected for a proposed $500,000-plus improvement to Farmington Park.
The Hutchinson City Council approved a staff recommendation to hire Engineering Consultants PA of Hutchinson for $33,000 to draw up plans for improving the park. The company was one of nine to submit proposals.
“The scope of the project is to include community engagement with public meetings, design, construction documents, and administration,” said Parks Director Justin Combs.
Neighbors in the Farmington addition are dissatisfied with the park and the project has been on the city’s Capital Improvements Project list for five years, Combs said.
