Umbrellas were out for the downtown parade in the morning, but by evening blue skies and comfortable weather made for an ideal outdoor concert and fireworks show.
Local representatives came from city hall, county government, the chamber of commerce, Park Rapids Schools and arts organizations. They discussed tourism, workforce shortages and housing issues with the U.S. senator.
