Manchester United were dumped out of the Carabao Cup at the semi-final stage by rivals Man City last night.
United s 2-0 reverse to Pep Guardiola s side represented their fourth semi-final defeat in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer s tenure though the Norwegian insisted there is no mental block for his players.
United were also beaten by City in the Carabao Cup last season, and by Sevilla and Chelsea in the semi-finals of the Europa League and FA Cup respectively. But Solskjaer said: It s not psychological. It s just sometimes you meet good teams in the semis and we just didn t have enough. We met, at the moment, probably the best team in England and we just didn t have enough.
