HOUGH, HAGEN SPAR AS FREDERICK COUNTY EXEC RACE HEATS UP: The race for Frederick County executive is only in its early stages but it has already begun to heat up. On Monday, state Sen. Michael Hough (Frederick and Carroll), the only Republican in the race, ripped one of the Democratic candidates as “far-left,” Bryan Renbaum reports in Maryland Reporter.

District 14 lawmakers files for re-election in Annapolis
Sen. Craig Zucker and Delegates Eric Luedtke, Pam Queen and Anne Kaiser have all filed for re-election to their respective seats in Annapolis in 2022.
They all serve District 14, which covers the eastern part of the county, including Damascus, Olney and Burtonsville.
Zucker has been in the state Senate since 2016, and was a delegate from 2010 to 16.
Luedtke has served as House Majority Leader since 2019, and has been in the House since 2010. Kaiser is chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, and is former House Majority Leader. She was first elected in 2002.
