Break is because there is so much water and ice now all over the road. Just a skating rink here now. D. C. Water says its an 8inch main and they did get the water turned off it appears. We dont know when theyre going to be able to come and start actually working to repair this main. They also say that there may be some customers in the area affected without water, too, so definitely causing a number of problems here. Not only for residents but also for commuters. And its its just the kind of thing that they know they have to deal with. They have wssc and d. C. Water have extra crews on hand. D. C. Water says theyve been dealing with some 200 water emergencies a day since this cold snap began and we know that theres going to be more of these to come. They really are just kind of bringing in those extra crews, having everyone else on standby and were going to be here this morning. Calvert county schools closed. Lets go to virginia. Arlington county schools twohour delay. Alexandria city and Falls Church City schools twohour delay. Fairfax county schools closed.
