SHELBY TOWNSHIP International Archaeology Day falls annually on the third Saturday in October, and the Packard Proving Grounds will be hosting archaeology related events in honor of this day, though not on the day itself.
Gently worn, used and new shoes can be dropped off through Sept. 16 at the Proving Grounds, located at 49965 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Township, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday or 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays at the Shelby Farmers Market located on the front lawn of the grounds.
