A total of 177 Fijians departed this morning for New South Wales, Australia, to start new jobs in the meatworks sector under the Pacific Labour Scheme.
According to the Australian High Commission in Fiji, those Fijians will be able to support their families and communities in Fiji, learn new skills and experience life in Australia.
The Commission also clarified that their cost of quarantine in Australia is the responsibility of the approved employers and/or State/territory governments.
