Hyderabad: A mosque in the old city of Hyderabad is providing free healthcare facilities to poor, thanks to the initiative taken by an NGO.
Masjid Omer Al Shifa, in Saif colony in Shaheenagar, Hyderabad is providing basic health services to nearly 300 people every day.
The mosque was in the news last year after it opened its doors for the people affected by floods in several slum areas in Osmannagar.

One of the principles of our faith is to help our fellow human beings, mitigate their difficulties caused due to natural calamities and disasters and to do the charitable deeds. To feed a hungry man and clothe him is among the greatest form of worship in Islam. In order to help the poor, there is no caste, communal, religious, linguist or other considerations. The charitable initiatives launched by Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust are working on these principles of our faith.

Congress party announced protest to provide government’s aid to the flood victims in hyderabad. Vice President Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee Mohammed Rashid Khan said more than one lakh victims are deprived from Government’s aid. These are the real victims who submitted online applications at mee seva centres but government deprived them with any aid by announcing new procedures.

Hyderabad: Congress leader Uzma Shakir slammed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party over Osman Nagar’s stagnant water.
Shakir who sat on hunger strike also targeted Maheshwaram Assembly Constituency MLA and Education Minister of Telagnana State, Sabitha Indra Reddy for allegedly not paying attention to the problems that are being faced the residents of the Osman Nagar.
It may be mentioned that due to torrential rains that had lashed Hyderabad in the month of October, water got accumulated in the colonies. The stagnant water is posing huge difficulties for the residents of Osman Nagar, Shaheen Nagar and other adjoining areas.
