For an enduring and sustainable educational system, both teachers and students require a conducive learning environment for knowledge to be imparted. Dictionary.com defines education as the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.
To this end, Senator Theodore Orji, representing Abia Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, as part of his constituency project, recently partnered the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the construction of ultra-modern 12-classrooms block each in Umuahia North Local Government Area and Isiala Ngwa South Local Government

The Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) has declared the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 17 chairmanship candidates, as winners of the just concluded local government councils election.
Prof. Mkpa Mkpa, the Chairman of ABSIEC, announced the results on Sunday in Umuahia.
Mkpa said that the Labour party won six councillorship seats, out of the ten in Ikwuano Local Government Area (LGA) of the state, while PDP cleared all councillorship seats in the remaining LGAs of the State.
He commended the electorate for the peaceful conduct of the election.
Also, he further commended ABSIEC officials for their commitment to duty during the election, as well as law enforcement agencies for their role in maintaining peace and order during the poll.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all the chairmanship seats in the just concluded Local Government elections in the state.
The Labour Party won six councillorship seats out of ten wards in Ikwuano Local Government Area, while PDP cleared all Councillorship seats in other local councils.
Announcing the results on Sunday, the Chairman of Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC), Professor Agu Mkpa, said the PDP swept the 17 local government area councils of the state.

In Aba South, Clinton Ebere of the PDP polled 26,321 votes to emerge winner unopposed as the chairman.
