A man who is suspected of having stabbed to death his girlfriend, Hertah Ndakula (33), in Sea Point, Kuisebmond, hanged himself at the same premises on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu confirmed the incident, saying that the man, who was identified as Fillemon Nghatanga (35), left a suicide note.
“This morning at around 06:55, the deceased male allegedly contacted one of his friends via cellphone and requested him to come to their shack. When the friend arrived at the shack at around 08:00, he discovered the two bodies and notified the police. The relatives of the deceased were informed.”
According to Iikuyu, Nghatanga left a suicide note in which he indicated that he was unhappy with his girlfriend s decision to end their relationship.
