Silicon valley. The windows of five buses were shattered on 280 between woodside and highway 85. The attack happened during the morning and evening commutes. Four of those buses were carrying apple employees, the other one google workers. Chp officers have not confirmed exactly what hit these bus, but they do have some suspicions. Could have been a rock. Could have been what somebody reported as a maybe like a bb or a pellet gun. Again, its not something that actually went into the bus. We know it wasnt like a high powered rifle or anything like that. You see so many of these buses going from San Francisco to the silicon valley. They are putting out the word that they need your help to replenish the supplies. Reporter you know every two seconds, someone in the u. S. Needs blood. Here is an interesting fact, 35 of the population is capable of donating blood but only 5 follow through. The flu season in the bay area started earlier than normal. Donations are down 13 since the begin of the year. If you are not feeling healthy, you are not a prime candidate to donate blood. Reporter caitlin arnet discovered there was a need for blood and platelet donors and made an appointment. I realize there was a need. It said it on the website. Reporter the American Red Cross is desperate for donations. Your help is needed to ensure patients continue to receive life saving treatments all winter long. Reporter the red cross reports because of the recent storms back east there were fewer donations than was needed. We have to have a strong local blood supply, if we dont have that, we cant send blood anymore. Priority number one is
