Pianist Stewart Goodyear has a clean-shaven pate but he has just the right phrase for his upcoming Orlando performances: “It’s a letting-our-hair-down kind of thing.”
The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will present four performances as part of their 2021-2022 series in the brand-new Steinmetz Hall at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in March and May.
“We have such a talented community. Instead of picking just a singular performance tonight, you’re going to see a wonderful collaboration," Dr. Phillips Center CEO and President Kathy Ramsberger said.
On the front lawn of downtown's Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, staff members cheered, dignitaries danced on the podium and the bubbly flowed as the long-awaited dream of a world-class concert hall finally became reality.
