Metro, Oregon City funds $23,218 for internship program
Clackamas Community College increases staff time by 10 hours per week for outreach to businesses.
Thanks to a $23,218 grant from Oregon City and Metro, Clackamas Community College is offering its students internship opportunities with local businesses.
With the grant funding, CCC increased the hours of one of its part-time Career Services staff members by 10 per week for outreach to Oregon City businesses to make them aware of the program. This project s goal is to improve access to employment and economic opportunities for city residents by expanding internship opportunities for Oregon City businesses and CCC students, said college President Tim Cook. With this grant, the college will see more local students connecting with nearby employers to contribute to this thriving community.
