a grand jury is a pretty conventional tool for prosecutors to use. it does add to the sense this is a really grave situation, that there is serious jeopardy here. not just for the president but for people in his orbit. i m curious, jane, how long is it before this white house investigation, this grand jury, reaches the white house itself, if it hasn t already? i mean, we really can t know. i think that part of the problem the white house has is they also don t know. it s hard for them to they re sort of continually trying to respond to this. i think they re very defensive and don t want people in the white house for a grand jury. i think they struggle to bring some discipline to this. i think the only way they can really rise above this is if they were getting things done. coming out really productive, really efficient and staying on message and they ll come out with a big infrastructure week and then, you know, the president will tweet something that will put out a whole new sto
down slightly. it needs to go up. they re telling him just enact your program. don t worry about a congress that isn t supporting legislation to get big ticket items done. and don t worry about all the distractions and diversions and discouragement that others who are still trying to throw logs in your path are throwing your way. focus on the agenda. and a couple of bright spots for the president. the overall job figures, the unemployment rate, and the stock market at a new record. those economic factors, presidents often get credit for whether their policies are directly related order not. certainly the new sanctions on north korea is considered a foreign policy win for this administration. whether that ever translated to improving his poll numbers is something we ll watch over time. as you know, the president tweeting those positive economic numbers out this morning. kelly o donnell, thank you so much. appreciate that. let s bring in our panel. howard dean. republican strategist
