4 Senior Airman Tamela Asare is an intelligence analyst with the 908th Operation Support Squadron who has been a reservist with the 908th Airlift Wing since January 2021. As an intel analyst, Asare is responsible for the gathering and dissemination of mission vital information in order to ensure efficient and informed strategic decisions.
Asare joined the military in an effort to seek out challenges outside of her civilian life, saying she wanted to serve her community and her country on a larger scale.
In her civilian life, Asare works as a strategic software architect for a major bank. Asare extends her service to others through humanitarian aid efforts, providing school supplies to students in need throughout the country and food to those in need in her community. In 2017 when Hurricane Harvey devastated parts of Texas and Louisiana, Asare took it upon herself to send aid in the form of food and supplies to families affected by the natural disaster.
