Filming of the
Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2021 : The Gala took place at The Palais in St. Kilda last night.
It marks an important turning point for comedians, after 2020 events were cancelled.
The Oxfam Gala will screen as two specials on ABC with Part 1 next Wednesday.

The Gala – part 1) at 9:30pm on ABC TV – with part 2 premiering exclusively on iview immediately following the television premiere. Part 2 will also be broadcast on Wednesday 31st March at 9:30pm on ABC TV.
The Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow will also screen across two nights in April.

After this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival was forced to cancel at the last minute due to COVID-19, the annual comedy extravaganza has announced it will be back in 2021.
Going down both on stage and online from March 24 until April 18, next year’s MICF will feature all your favourite events including The Gala, Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, The Great Debate, Upfront, The (Very) Big Laugh Out Loud and Comedy Club for Kids in addition to a bunch of new shows.
