Ontario Health Minister Provides Update on Vaccine Distribution – May 5, 2021
In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Health Minister and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott provides an update on the province’s COVID-19 vaccination plan. She is joined by Ontario Solicitor General Sylvia Jones. The update comes as the province ramped up its rollout strategy this week and expanded vaccine eligibility for residents ages 18 and older in over 100 hotspot areas. By the week of May 24, the province expects to open up eligibility to all adults over the age of 18.

It means about 25 per cent less vaccine for Hastings and Prince Edward Counties, he said.
Oglaza told The Intelligencer earlier this week a reduction in Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine was expected this month, but it was possible a delayed shipment of Moderna vaccine could offset that shortfall.
