how many people die, that s what it feels like. kate snow visited dayton as part of our series one nation overdosed and she joins us now. it is a big, big problem. crisis, choose your word. we wanted to see how bad things were in dayton, ohio. you talked numbers. get this. more than 500 people overdosed and died in montgomery county since the beginning of this year. 500 people in one county. we went to dayton s children s hospital where they ve adjusted to the reality kids are being affected by adults using heroin and other opioids around them and spent hours on calls with dayton fire medics. [ siren ] response. overdose. we used to see maybe two overdoses a month. and now we re seeing two to three a day. reporter: on this call, three overdoses.
