Two men have been charged with the murder of four persons in the Planters Hall community of Old Harbour, St Catherine on Friday, December 11.
Charged are 19-year-old Kevroy Bailey, otherwise called ‘Fatta’ and 18-year-old Joshua Lynch, otherwise called ‘Jah’, both of Planters Hall. Both men are charged with four counts of murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
Reports are that about 1:30 am, residents heard explosions and called the police. On the arrival of the cops, four persons were seen with gunshot wounds and were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
The deceased were identified as 49-year-old Lester Harvey of a Clarendon address, 31-year-old Richard Wright, 27-year-old Omar Wright, all of Rhule Town district, Clarendon and a woman, Nordia Thomas, of Chapelton, Clarendon.

The gun-men first went to the house that Omar lived with his teenage girlfriend (Nordia) and his cousin Lester Harvey, signs of blood prints and broken doors told the tale of a deadly operation. The gunmen kicked off the door and killed all three occupants, after which they went to the neighboring home of Richard Wright (Omar’s brother) and killed him in a similar fashion.
Clifford Blake (Deputy Commissioner) was at the scene in the bloody aftermath. According to the deputy commissioner, Omar Wright, the younger brother, had committed a crime and has been reporting daily as terms of his bail stipulates.
