Oman’s ruler, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, will be arriving in Saudi Arabia on Sunday for a two-day official visit and a summit with Saudi King Salman in the northwestern mega-city of Neom. It is noteworthy that this visit is the Omani ruler’s first since being appointed as Sultan back in January and is set to produce a qualitative leap to boost cooperation and reinforce bilateral ties between the Kingdom and Sultanate.

Sultan Haitham will meet with King Salman during his two-day visit on Sunday and Monday by Gulf Business July 11, 2021 Oman’s ruler Sultan Haitham is set to begin his two-day visit to Saudi Arabia on Sunday, marking his first official foreign visit since he took over the role in January last year. The visit comes within the framework of strengthening the historical and fraternal relations between the countries and expanding the prospects of joint cooperation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said. The trip will focus on cooperation in the fields of business, investment, ICT, posts, transport, standardization, media, youths, sports and culture, among others, the Oman News Agency (ONA) reported. These areas constitute significant pillars in both the countries long-term strategies – Oman Vision 2040 and Saudi Vision 2030.
