NDLEA arrests Chadian over drug trafficking in Taraba

Daily Post Nigeria Published The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Taraba has arrested a 35-year-old Chadian for alleged drug trafficking. Mr Suleiman Jadi, NDLEA Commander in Taraba, made this known in a statement by the agency’s Director, Media and Advocacy, Mr Femi Babafemi on Thursday in Abuja, NAN reports. He said the suspect, Adama Uomar-Issa, was arrested on Wednesday in Jalingo, in possession of 21.70 kilogrammes of Tramadol 225 milligrammes and 250 milligrammes. Jadi said that 15.7 kilogrammes of exol.5, the sum of 100,050 France CAF and N61, 000 were also recovered from the suspect. “The suspect speaks only French and Arabic, he claims to be taking the substances to Chad Republic before his arrest.

I read law but didn't pass my exams - Fake lawyer confesses in Ogun

A suspected fake lawyer, 50-year-old Azeez Agboola, had confessed to the police that though he read law in the university, he has not been called to Bar because did not pass the law school examination.” Agboola was arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command, “for unlawfully parading himself as a legal practitioner.” The suspect, a resident of Oko Afo area of Badagry, Lagos State, was arrested while appearing as a counsel before Chief Magistrate B. I. Ilo, at the Chief Magistrate Court, Agbara. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told DAILY POST that the suspect’s presentation in court aroused the suspicion of the judge, who invited the police to arrest him for proper interrogation, to authenticate his claim of being a lawyer.
