An Oklahoma City minister publicly rebuked a state senator Thursday for making what the clergyman described as sexist, misogynistic and racist public remarks about Vice Pres. Kamala Harris.
The Rev. Lee Cooper, senior pastor of Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, was serving his last day as a participant in the Oklahoma Senate s Chaplain of the Week program when he took Sen. Nathan Dahm, R-Broken Arrow, to task for implying that Harris, the country s first Black person, first female and first person of South Asian descent to ascend to the vice presidency, had slept her way into politics.
