Disappointing to see how many people are still holding private parties, city official says
Paul Johnson, the director of the city s emergency operations centre, on Monday expressed disappointment at the number of businesses and individuals still hosting private parties in violation of COVID-19 rules.

Hamilton s active cases and weekly cases per 100,000 people have climbed in the past month, showing the city s pandemic situation is almost as bad as it was at the start of February.
After infections began to fall from January into mid-February, some of the city s COVID-19 data could have allowed for Hamilton to loosen restrictions and drop into the province s Orange-Restrict zone.
The city stayed in red over fears variants of concern would spread.
Hamilton logs 34 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 new deaths
Hamilton Public Health Services is reporting 34 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. There are 403 active cases of COVID-19 in the city with two new deaths linked to the virus in the last 24 hours.
