Road construction season is getting underway in Northeast Ohio, and the Ohio Department of Transportation is getting to work on a project that’s going to have a big impact on Summit County.
Ray Marsch is a spokesman for Ohio Department of Transportation s Region 4.
He says the multi-year reconstruction project will focus on Akron’s Central Interchange, as well as the highways that feed into it. That includes the resurfacing of I-77, I-76, Route 8 and other roads, adding lanes and realigning some ramps with a focus on improving safety.

Philo students streaming comedy from their homes
PHILO - The drama department of Philo High School will present the comedy The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon from 7 p.m. March 19 to 7 p.m. March 21 via online streaming.
Students used technology and video editing software to rehearse and perform the show entirely from their homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They play mixes up well known fairy tales such as Cinderella, Rapunzel and Snow White to provide zany fun for all.
Tickets are $8 for an individual or $15 for a family and are available at philodrama.weebly.com.
