Maintenance updates received in Deshler

DESHLER — Village council Monday received updates on maintenance work. Sewer Superintendent Brad Kitchen submitted a report stating the new steps at the reservoir park have been completed. Kitchen was at Monday’s meeting and provided photos of the work for council members to see. Kitchen said there is still some landscaping and cleanup work remaining around the steps. It was added the parking lot still has some striping and signage work, and Kitchen reported this work will be completed as soon as possible. This phase of updates to the reservoir park included paving with cement the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking space at the large reservoir and installing new composite steps with new cement landings. The project is leveraging an opportunity from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources NatureWorks grant.
