THE ARSENAL OF attacking options available to new Tyrone managers Fergal Logan and Brian Dooher is mouthwatering prospect. 2019 Footballer of the Year nominee Cathal McShane will return from a serious ankle problem that derailed his 2020 season. In his absence, former AFL man Conor McKenna became Tyrone’s leading forward after the GAA’s restart, re-adapting to the sport quicker than anyone expected.

The Best XI I Played Against: Chris Cannon

The Best XI I Played Against: Chris Cannon Posted: 10:10 am January 20, 2021 SHARE Chris Cannon is a well-known figure in Donegal soccer circles, and has been an integral player for Dunlewey Celtic down through the years. He played his underage and youth football with Gweedore Celtic, before going on to represent Dunlewey and Glenea United at senior level. He also enjoyed a spell with Finn Harps Under 19s. Cannon has this week picked the best 11 (3-5-2) he has faced over his career, with honourable mentions for Chris Sweeney (Gweedore Celtic), Benny McLaughlin (Cappry) and Frank McGee (Gweedore United). Conrad Logan (Swilly Rovers): I played against Conrad a good bit underage and played with him too in Ian Rush tournament in Wales and Milk Cup. He was a good man to have behind you for organising and shot stopping. An all-rounder, I’m not surprised he made it in England.

GAA Predictions for 2021 - Donegal News

GAA Predictions for 2021 SHARE Gary McDaid (Former Glenswilly and Donegal Under 20 manager) Hopes for 2021: Each county has a full-time administrator and they have served the association well, but I think it’s time to cancel those contracts and come up with a Marketing Executive or a Business Executive role. I feel we can get more bang for our buck if we could bring in specialised people who could help clubs and counties get access to better coaching, facilities, and funding. The ultimate dream is for every club in Donegal to have a GDO, and we should at least start the process of looking into that. I think we should source a full-time sponsor for our development squads like Armagh have, and maybe introduce a monthly newsletter so people know exactly who is involved, and what counties they are playing, and that will bring more transparency. I also feel our underage managers need to be given more than just one year terms so that they can plan accordingly and try to impose a prope
