The Sweden-headquartered SeaTwirl has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kontiki Winds to identify and discuss the upcoming opportunities to electrify oil and gas assets and other offshore applications, with the use of SeaTwirl's floating wind turbines.
The platform and the floating storage and offloading vessel (FSO) have undergone extensive upgrades and are now ready for doubling the field life – and more than doubling production.

Solstad Offshore's construction vessel has managed to save "considerable amounts" of fuel and reduce emissions on its way home from a project in West Africa, the Norwegian company reported.
