Oak Tree Gun Club Structure Fire Prompts Response From Firefighters
A structure fire at Oak Tree Gun Club in Newhall sparked a brush fire on Thursday evening.
UPDATE (8 p.m.): Forward progression of the fire has been stopped.
UPDATE (7:50 p.m.): The fire has been named the Coltrane Fire. The fire has currently spread to 1.5 acres with the structure still fully engulfed in flames, according to Fire officials.
The fire was reported to firefighters around 7:15 p.m., on Coltrane Avenue said Mike Pittman, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It is at Oak Tree Gun Club,” Pittman said. “It is a structure fire that spread to the brush.”
