On Sunday ( May 23 ), thousands of people took part in The Banham Marsden March at Home in a bid to raise money for The Royal Marsden s Oak Cancer Centre appeal. The centre aims to speed up the translation of world-leading research into breakthroughs in treatment and care, transforming the lives of cancer patients when it opens at the end of 2022. Supporters walked five or 15 miles across the country separately, rather than the regular route between the hospital in Chelsea and Sutton.
