Marion Public Health may soon vaccinate younger teens pending state approval
Correction: A previous version of this story stated the Marion Public Health clinic at Ohio State Marion was being held Wednesday.
In an effort to get more people vaccinated, providers in Marion County could offer the COVID-19 shot to younger teens as soon as this week.
The news comes as the Food and Drug Administration approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine for adolescents ages 12 to 15 Monday. The advisory committee for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will then meet Wednesday to make a decision. If approved, the age group could begin getting vaccinated as early as Thursday.
